I’ve been a bad blogger! I have so much to blog about but do I do the right thing and write about it? No and I don’t know why, but I’ll try to make amends now.
But just to round up I will tell you, though not in detail, about the ten wonderful days I spent on the Garden Route smelling green air while driving through towns that overlook the Indian ocean. We woke up early to see the local farmers’ market, had rustic bread, cinnamon pancakes and bought wooden toys. Zeen and I drove to Outdshoorn to stroke cheetahs and play with white tiger cubs. Drove past Plettenberg Bay to face our own fear factors by touching snakes and bungee jumping, where the latter left me with a burst capillary in my eye. Needless to say, I wish I was still on holiday!
I’ll tell you about two of my friends that got married in the weeks past and how one of these weddings made big news. The fairytale wedding was estimated at costing R1.2 million to host and entertain everyone at the lavish affair. Though it was beautiful, I prefered NK’s reception, intimate, comfortable and I’m sure she and M will have a good laugh at the video message Zeen and I left them. NK, I loved the Lebanese bread and now we can go on holiday together :P
I must tell you about our neighbours’ kids and how naughty and adorable they are, I’ll focus on the adorable part for now. Zeen’s grandfather is very ill, he’s writing exams and amongst other things, he’s obviously rather stressed. I’ve also felt a bit of this stress but last Friday we arrived home to see that our assumed children left us this etch-a-stetch-ed message. I’m not a mother yet, but I’m sure something like this would make any parent feel all fluffy inside.
I’d like to end off on a broody note. The long awaited introduction of the new addition next door and my future son-in-law. All together now… AWWWW!
