Random rambling…

I went to my yoga class yesterday after quite a break and when the one and a half hour session was over, I realised how much my body missed the breathing exercises (pranayama), positions (asanas) and inward calm. I’ll always leave my yoga classes feeling more confident, relaxed and content with life and the world.

Apparently when making an inward change, it sometimes manifests as an outward change as well. I’ve been going through a bit of an (hormonally imbalanced) emotional patch and to try and get out of it, I’ve been making some changes to my life. Changing my diet slightly and eating less, hopefully I’ll try to do yoga more often as a means of exercise, reading more, writing more and spending more time with people that exude positivity; and less time with those who tend to be negative… But the biggest change (to me) that I’m opting to make, is to cut my hair. Watch this space for my dramatic new look, coming soon.

I’ve been eating a lot more fruit, am munching on cherries right now. They make for a healthier and tasty alternative to the usual chips that I tend to snack on. I’m generally not a sweets and chocolate person and would much rather have peaches and nectarines everyday. I’m going to miss all the summer fruits once the season has gone. Oh and I love oranges.

Zeen’s cousin is getting married next Sunday and I’m deciding on what to wear. I’m torn between indulging myself by buying a new outfit or to abstain that urge and wear something I already have. Choices, choices!

Etsy is my new addiction… I’ve held back long enough from shopping there and now I’m patiently waiting for my items to be shipped and arrive in my mailbox.

Two things I have a strong desire to do is, to ride a quad bike again but more than that, to read a good fantasy and/or sci fi novel. I’m currently reading Binu and the Great Wall of China, a mythological tale of a woman who goes on a long journey to Great Swallow Mountain where her husband was taken to work on one of the vast building projects of our time, the Great Wall of China. The story has an almost dreamlike narration and since I work in typesetting and book design, I have to include that this book is beautifully made.

After posting this, I have to spend a good measure of my afternoon waiting for Zeen to finish work, until I can go home. Also, our toilet broke last night, so I’m hoping by the time I get home, I’ll have a place to pee. So… let the waiting begin.
